{"id":11741,"date":"2026-05-07T07:34:00","date_gmt":"2026-05-07T06:34:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sedanoc.rwdesarrollos2.es\/actualidad\/report-europe-at-work-in-the-age-of-generative-ai\/"},"modified":"2026-05-07T07:34:00","modified_gmt":"2026-05-07T06:34:00","slug":"report-europe-at-work-in-the-age-of-generative-ai","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.csedano.com\/en\/actualidad\/report-europe-at-work-in-the-age-of-generative-ai\/","title":{"rendered":"REPORT &#8220;EUROPE AT WORK IN THE AGE OF GENERATIVE AI&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li><b><i>Spanish SMEs lead Europe in AI adoption, accounting for 9.3% of the total<\/i><\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><b><i>Some 9.3% of Spanish small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) have adopted artificial intelligence (AI), above the European average of 8%, and one in five \u2018junior\u2019 jobs in the country already require skills in this technology, according to a study by Google and INCO<\/i><\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The report \u2018Europe at Work in the Age of Generative AI\u2019, presented this Tuesday by representatives of INCO and Google, points out that \u201cSpanish SMEs lead Europe in AI adoption,\u201d with a rate of 9.3% that exceeds the average of 8% in the European Union, which shows their \u201cstrong drive for digitalization.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><b>However, at the European level, three out of four SMEs face difficulties in finding talent with artificial intelligence skills, reflecting that \u201ctrained talent is not growing at the same rate as demand.\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n<p>In addition, 420,000 entry-level jobs in the country already require AI skills. Compared to the two million job openings analyzed in the study, this represents 22%, a figure two percentage points below the European average but ahead of countries like Italy and Poland.<\/p>\n<p><b>In Europe, where the authors analyzed 31 million job listings, there are 7.4 million jobs requiring this type of skill, implying one in four entry-level positions, a figure that has doubled in just two years.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>AI is transforming what job positions require, and \u2018junior\u2019 workers are \u201cthe most exposed\u201d: \u201cSkills that they used to learn on the job during their first few years\u201d are now \u201calready handled by artificial intelligence,\u201d meaning that \u201cwhen someone lands their first position today, they are required to have a completely different starting point compared to just a few years ago,\u201d they emphasized.<\/p>\n<p><b>In this regard, more than half of young Europeans are optimistic about the impact of AI on employment, but only 13% feel prepared to work with this technology, the study notes.<\/b><\/p>\n<h3><b>AN IMPACT ON GDP OF 120 BILLION IF ITS USE BECOMES WIDESPREAD<\/b><\/h3>\n<p>For his part, Google\u2019s chief economist highlights that the \u201cprize\u201d of a widespread adoption of AI in Spain would be a contribution of up to 120 billion euros to GDP, which is equivalent to an additional 8%, according to data from the report \u2018The Economic Opportunity of AI in Spain\u2019, prepared by Implement Consulting Group at Google\u2019s request.<\/p>\n<p><b>Curto indicates that AI is being adopted at a \u201cvery high\u201d rate, \u201cmuch faster\u201d than other past technologies, and that this is \u201cthe main challenge\u201d to be faced, but warns that this adoption is taking place \u201cunevenly.\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n<p>\u201cMost of our jobs are going to be transformed by AI,\u201d but \u201chistorically, technology is a net job creator\u201d and \u201cdoes not automate jobs per se,\u201d but rather tasks, he qualified.<\/p>\n<p><b>Thus, \u201cit is very rare for a job to disappear due to automation,\u201d he explains at an event where the \u2018NewFutures: AI\u2019 training initiative was also presented.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><i>Source:<\/i> Lefebvre<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Spanish SMEs lead Europe in AI adoption, accounting for 9.3% of the total Some 9.3% of Spanish small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) have adopted artificial intelligence (AI), above the European average of 8%, and one in five \u2018junior\u2019 jobs in the country already require skills in this technology, according to a study by Google and [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[111],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-11741","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-legal-news"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v28.0 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/product\/yoast-seo-wordpress\/ -->\n<title>REPORT &quot;EUROPE AT WORK IN THE AGE OF GENERATIVE AI&quot; - C.
